Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, which regulates various cellular processes including growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation.
This protein has a C-terminal PTP domain and an N-terminal domain homologous to the band 4.1 superfamily of cytoskeletal-associated proteins.
P97, a cell cycle regulator involved in membrane-related functions, is a substrate of this PTP. The protein also interacts with and is regulated by adaptor protein 14-3-3 beta.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
