For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Survivin (IAP4) is the smallest member of the Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) family.
IAPs are involved in cell signaling, division, and metabolism, and are differentially expressed in most human cancers but not in normal tissues.
Survivin contains a single BIR domain and lacks a C-terminal RING finger domain. Expression is high during fetal development and in tumors, but low in adult tissues.
It associates with mitotic spindle microtubules during mitosis, and disruption of this interaction increases caspase-3 activity, leading to apoptosis.
Survivin is also expressed in adult rat brain tissues after injury, potentially regulating neural cell proliferation.
Multiple transcript variants exist, with at least three fully characterized isoforms.
Overexpression of survivin in cancer may contribute to abnormal mitotic progression by overcoming apoptotic checkpoints.
