This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Mouse Legumain/LGMN.
Target Information
The LGMN gene encodes a cysteine protease with strict specificity for hydrolysis of asparaginyl bonds. It may participate in the processing of bacterial peptides and endogenous proteins for MHC class II presentation within lysosomal/endosomal systems.
Activation is triggered by acidic pH and is autocatalytic. Expression occurs after monocytes differentiate into dendritic cells, and mature enzyme formation follows lipopolysaccharide induction.
Overexpression is linked to many solid tumor types. This gene also has a pseudogene on chromosome 13. Several alternatively spliced variants exist, with two confirmed biologically valid forms.
