Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed samples): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
The ZMYM3 gene is located on the X chromosome and is subject to X inactivation. It is highly conserved among vertebrates and is most abundantly expressed in the brain. The encoded protein is a component of histone deacetylase-containing multiprotein complexes that modify chromatin structure to maintain gene silencing. A chromosomal translocation (X;13) involving this gene is associated with X-linked cognitive disability. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
