Product Specific Information

The 24-31 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD154, a 39 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein also known as gp39 and CD40 ligand (CD40L). CD154 is a member of the TNF superfamily and is expressed transiently by activated T cells. Through binding to CD40 on antigen-presenting cells (B cells, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells), CD154 plays a crucial role in T-APC interaction and induces B-cell activation and proliferation.
This antibody cross-reacts with cynomolgus monkey CD154.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.5 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 is excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD40 Ligand (CD40-L, CD154) is a membrane glycoprotein expressed on T cells. It stimulates B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin secretion, induces cytokine production, and enhances tumoricidal activity in monocytes. It also co-stimulates activated T-cell proliferation accompanied by IFN-γ, TNF-α, and IL-2 production.
