Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Higher specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Human PSGL-1/CD162/SELPLG.
Target Information
CD162 (PSGL-1) is a 120 kDa homodimer protein found on the surface of leukocytes and platelets. It binds CD62P (P-selectin), CD62L (L-selectin), and to a lesser extent CD62E (E-selectin). These interactions are critical for leukocyte adhesion, rolling, and extravasation. CD162 is also identified as an immune marker of T cell exhaustion in chronic viral infections and cancer.
