FBXL16 (F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 16)는 F-box 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein)-type E3 ubiquitin ligase complex의 기질 인식 구성 요소로 추정됩니다. 약 40개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 F-box motif를 특징으로 하며, SKP1과의 상호작용 및 유비퀴틴화 표적 단백질과의 결합에 관여합니다. FBXL16은 세포 주기 조절 경로에서 E2F1에 의해 조절되는 새로운 유전자입니다.
