Phospho-MLC-2 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of MLC-2 (Thr17/Ser18): MLC-2A/MYL12B, MLC-2B/MYL12A, and MLC-2C/MYL9.
Target Information
Myosin regulatory light polypeptide 9 (MYL9) is a highly conserved, ubiquitously expressed protein encoded by the MYL9 gene in humans. Myosin is a structural component of muscle composed of two heavy chains and four light chains, including phosphorylatable and nonphosphorylatable subunits.
This protein may regulate muscle contraction by modulating the ATPase activity of myosin heads.
Myosin light chains MYL9 and MYL12 act as functional ligands for CD69. Blockade of CD69–MYL9/12 interactions ameliorates allergic airway inflammation in mouse models of asthma.
