• Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody is shipped as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, inducing membrane hyperpolarization through Cl⁻ channel opening associated with the GABAA receptor (GABAA-R).
GABAA-Rs are key therapeutic targets for sedative, anxiolytic, and hypnotic agents and are involved in conditions such as epilepsy, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
The receptor is a multimeric complex composed of multiple subunits (six alphas, four betas, four gammas, and variants).
Functional GABAA-R expression requires coexpression of alpha, beta, and gamma subunits.
Benzodiazepine modulation depends on gamma-subunit presence and may vary by alpha-subunit subtype.
Phosphorylation of beta-subunits can also modulate receptor activity.
