• Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
• Competitive ELISA recommended dilution: 10–50 µg/mL
• The lyophilized product remains stable up to 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
• After reconstitution, store for 2–3 weeks at 2–8°C or up to 12 months at -20°C or below.
• Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

Ustekinumab is a human immunoglobulin (IgG1 kappa) monoclonal antibody directed against interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23, cytokines involved in immune and inflammatory responses.
It was generated via recombinant human IL-12 immunization of human Ig transgenic mice.
Ustekinumab functions as a targeted biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (bDMARD), used to study inflammatory conditions involving IL-12 and IL-23 signaling pathways.
IL-12 and IL-23 are heterodimeric cytokines that trigger immune responses, such as natural killer cell activation and CD4+ T-cell differentiation.
They are implicated in chronic inflammatory conditions like psoriasis and inflammatory bowel diseases, modulating lymphocyte function including Th1 and Th17 subsets.
Activated Th cells subsequently induce pro-inflammatory mediators and transcription factors such as TNF-α and IFN-γ, driving innate and adaptive immunity.
