Product Specific Information

Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
The lyophilized product remains stable up to 1 year at −20 °C from date of receipt.
Upon reconstitution, it can be stored for 2–3 weeks at 2–8 °C or for up to 12 months at −20 °C or below.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.

Target Information

Ustekinumab is a human IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody directed against interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23, cytokines involved in immune and inflammatory responses.
It was generated via recombinant human IL-12 immunization of human Ig transgenic mice.
Ustekinumab acts as a targeted biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (bDMARD) used in research related to inflammatory conditions involving IL-12 and IL-23 signaling pathways.
IL-12 and IL-23 are heterodimeric cytokines that mediate immune responses such as natural killer cell activation and CD4+ T-cell differentiation.
They are implicated in chronic inflammatory conditions including psoriasis and inflammatory bowel diseases, modulating lymphocyte function and promoting Th1 and Th17 cell differentiation.
These T-helper cells further activate pro-inflammatory mediators and transcription factors such as TNFα and IFNγ, driving innate and adaptive immune responses.
