Target Information
CD321 (also known as F11R, JAM-1, JAM-A) is a cell-surface adhesion molecule belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily of receptors. It is a 32–41 kDa glycoprotein with two extracellular Ig-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a short cytosolic tail. The protein forms homodimers and associates with other membrane proteins such as integrins. CD321 is expressed on leukocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, stem cells, epithelial and endothelial cells, and plays a key role in mediating cell-cell contact. It is closely associated with epithelial tight junction components such as ZO-1 and occludin, contributing to epithelial and endothelial barrier maintenance, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and tumor proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
