Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The heterotetrameric coat assembly protein complex, known as adaptor-related protein complex 2 (AP-2), belongs to the adaptor complexes medium subunits family.
The mu 1 subunit of the AP-2 complex (AP2M1) is essential for the activity of vacuolar ATPase, involved in endosome and lysosome acidification.
AP2M1 interacts with the HIV-1 protein Nef, suggesting a role in enhancing endocytosis of CD4 and class I MHC.
It also regulates intracellular trafficking and function of CTLA-4 protein.
At least two isoforms of AP2M1 are known.
