Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as verified by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Thymidylate kinase (DTYMK) catalyzes the phosphorylation of dTMP to form dTDP, a key step in the dTTP synthesis pathway required for DNA synthesis. DTYMK is essential for DNA synthesis and serves as an intermediate enzyme in the pathway of several pyrimidine analog drugs, including 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU), a chemotherapeutic agent used for solid tumors. The human DTYMK gene was identified through functional complementation of a Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell cycle mutant (cdc8). DTYMK mRNA levels and enzyme activities are regulated by cell cycle and growth pathways.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
