Target Information
Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases implicated in carcinogenesis. The novel KLK gene, KLK-L4, is expressed in various tissues including prostate, salivary gland, breast, and testis. Its expression is regulated by steroid hormones in breast cancer cell lines and may be involved in the pathogenesis and/or progression of breast cancer.
