Target Information

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between IQ motif containing J (IQCJ) and schwannomin interacting protein 1 (SCHIP1) genes.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants composed of in-frame exons from each gene.
The resulting fusion products may be components of multimolecular complexes in axon initial segments and nodes of Ranvier and could play roles in calcium-mediated responses.
