Product Specific Information

The 3D12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CCR7 (CD197), also known as EBI-1. CCR7 is a G-protein-coupled chemokine receptor with seven transmembrane domains and acts as a receptor for 6Ckine/SLC (CCL19 and CCL21).
CCR7 is expressed on T cells and dendritic cells (DCs), and its expression increases during DC maturation. It is involved in chemotaxis to lymph nodes, cellular architecture, endocytosis rate, survival, and maturation.
Expression can be downregulated upon ligand binding.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.5 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody sufficient to stain cells in 100 µL volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
For optimal staining, incubate ≥45 minutes at 2–8°C.

Target Information

CCR7 is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family, induced by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and mediates EBV effects on B lymphocytes.
It is expressed in blood, bone marrow, lymph node, and intestine, particularly in lymphoid tissues and activated B/T lymphocytes.
CCR7 controls migration of memory T cells to inflamed tissues and stimulates dendritic cell maturation.
Its specific ligand is CCL19/ECL.
Other C-C chemokine receptors include CCR1–CCR5 and the Duffy antigen, which are key in T cell chemotaxis and phagocytic cell migration.
