Target Information
The IL17B gene encodes a T cell-derived cytokine with sequence similarity to IL17.
It stimulates the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from monocytic cell lines.
Immunohistochemical studies show localization mainly in neuronal cell bodies.
