Target Information
Sulfotransferase 효소는 다양한 호르몬, 신경전달물질, 약물 및 외인성 화합물의 황산화 결합을 촉매합니다. 이 효소들은 조직 분포와 기질 특이성이 다르며, 유전자 구조는 가족 간 유사합니다. 본 유전자는 열에 민감한 페놀 황산전이효소를 암호화하며, 염색체 16의 p arm에 위치한 네 개의 sulfotransferase 유전자 중 하나입니다. SULT1A4와는 분절 중복으로 발생하였으며, GIY-YIG 도메인을 포함하는 단백질을 암호화하는 유전자의 엑손과 겹칩니다. 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 변형이 보고되었습니다.
