MA1-70071 detects CD5 in mouse samples.
Clone 7-20.6/3 is specific to the Ly 1.1 phenotype of CD5 and does not react with phenotype Ly 1.2.
MA1-70071 has been successfully used in flow cytometry procedures.
The MA1-70071 immunogen is 129/ReJ.
Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein.
It is present on all mature T-lymphocytes, most thymocytes, and many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas.
CD5 also reacts with a subpopulation of activated B-cells and may act as a receptor regulating T-cell proliferation.
CD5 is found on 95% of thymocytes and 72% of peripheral blood lymphocytes.
In lymph nodes, reactivity is mainly observed in T cell areas.
Diseases associated with CD5 dysfunction include thymus cancer and Richter's Syndrome.
