Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on nearly all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells.
CD19 serves as a functional regulator of B cell proliferation and differentiation and is a key component of B cell receptor (BCR) signaling.
Mutations in the CD19 gene can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
