Anti-Phospho Enol Pyruvate Carboxylase antibody is an IgG fraction purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis against the specified buffer.
Immunoelectrophoresis assay resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Biotin, anti-Rabbit Serum, and purified Phospho-enol-Pyruvate-Carboxylase [Maize]. Cross-reactivity with other sources may occur but has not been determined.
Target Information
Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase catalyzes the carboxylation of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to form oxaloacetate, a four-carbon dicarboxylic acid involved in the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
This enzyme is regulated by light-reversible phosphorylation and participates in the C3 acid pathway as part of photosynthesis.
