PPM1E는 다기능 CaM kinase (CAMK4, CAMK2)를 불활성화하는 단백질 인산화효소로, PAK을 탈인산화하여 비활성화합니다. 또한 TNK2/CDC42에 의해 유도되는 형태학적 변화 및 actin fiber stress breakdown 억제에 관여할 수 있으며, PRKAA2를 탈인산화합니다.
