Target Information
HIF-1 beta는 aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) 유전자의 산물로, 저산소 상태(hypoxia)에 대한 세포 반응에 중요한 역할을 합니다. HIF-1은 HIF-1 alpha 및 HIF-1 beta로 구성된 핵 단백질 복합체로, 산소 항상성 유지에 관여합니다.
정상 산소 조건에서는 HIF-1 alpha가 prolyl hydroxylation을 통해 분해되지만, 저산소 조건에서는 분해가 억제되어 전사 활성도가 증가합니다. 반면 HIF-1 beta는 산소 조건에 관계없이 안정적으로 존재합니다.
HIF-1 beta의 기능 이상은 저산소증(hypoxia) 및 신세포암(renal cell carcinoma) 등과 관련이 있습니다.
