Target Information
PAK2 (Serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in various signaling pathways, including cytoskeleton regulation, cell motility, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and proliferation. It functions as a downstream effector of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Activation occurs through binding with active CDC42 and RAC1, leading to conformational changes and autophosphorylation on multiple serine/threonine residues. Full-length PAK2 promotes cell survival and growth. PAK proteins link Rho GTPases to cytoskeleton reorganization and nuclear signaling and are key regulators of diverse biological processes.
