Target Information
ROS1 is a tyrosine kinase that functions as a growth or differentiation factor receptor. Protein kinases transfer a phosphate group from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating most signal transduction in eukaryotic cells. They regulate metabolism, transcription, cell cycle, cytoskeletal dynamics, apoptosis, and differentiation.
The tyrosine kinase (TK) group is mainly involved in regulating cell-cell interactions such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and death. Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including receptor TK families (EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR) and cytosolic TK families (ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC).
