Target Information
Phospholipase A-2-activating protein (PLAA), also named PLAP, interacts with ubiquitin and is involved in maintaining ubiquitin levels. PLAA contains multiple consensus domains including WD repeats, PFU domain, and PUL domain. Although its function remains unclear, ubiquitin binding of PLAA may play a central role connecting ubiquitination and degradation in ERAD. Recent findings indicate PLAA acts as a novel nociceptive mediator after incision, regulated by miR-203.
