Target Information

Integrin-linked kinase (ILK) interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of beta-1 integrin and plays a key role in integrin-mediated signal transduction. The ILK gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase with four ankyrin-like repeats. It regulates intracellular and extracellular signaling through integrins. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
