Target Information
HIF-1 beta는 aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (ARNT) 유전자 산물로, 저산소증(hypoxia) 관련 질환의 병태생리에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
HIF-1은 산소 항상성 유지에 관여하는 핵 단백질로, HIF-1 alpha와 HIF-1 beta 두 서브유닛으로 구성된 이합체 형태입니다.
정상 산소 조건에서는 HIF-1 alpha가 hydroxylation을 통해 분해되지만, 저산소 조건에서는 분해가 억제되어 전사 활성도가 증가합니다.
이에 반해 HIF-1 beta는 산소 조건에 관계없이 안정적으로 유지됩니다.
HIF-1 beta 기능 이상은 저산소증 및 신세포암(renal cell carcinoma) 등과 관련되어 있습니다.
