Product Specific Information
The R-phycoerythrin (PE)-Cy7 tandem conjugate permits simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets with excitation by a 488 nm laser without occupying traditional channels associated with FITC and PE.
Target Information
The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV. CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells but may also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Tissue-level expression includes thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and some regions of brain and gut. CD4 aids in early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck. It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases. Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
