Target Information
TTK is a serine/threonine kinase closely related to SPK1, PIM1, and CDC2 kinases. It functions as a dual-specificity kinase capable of phosphorylating both serine/threonine and tyrosine residues. TTK forms a heteromeric core enzyme composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, which interacts with variable regulatory subunits. The constant regulatory subunit A acts as a scaffold for assembly. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
