Ran (ras-related nuclear protein)은 RAS superfamily에 속하는 작은 GTP 결합 단백질로, RNA 및 단백질의 핵공복합체(nuclear pore complex)를 통한 이동에 필수적입니다. 또한 DNA 합성과 세포주기 진행의 조절에도 관여합니다. Ran의 핵 내 위치는 RCC1(regulator of chromosome condensation 1)의 존재에 의해 조절됩니다.
