Product Specific Information
This antibody detects both pro and mature forms of human Renin in direct ELISAs and Western blots. Approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Renin-1 is observed in direct ELISAs and Western blots.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Renin is a highly specific endopeptidase that generates angiotensin I from angiotensinogen in plasma, initiating a cascade of reactions leading to elevated blood pressure and increased sodium retention by the kidney.
