Target Information
This gene belongs to the insulin-like growth factor binding protein family and encodes a protein containing both an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain. The protein binds insulin-like growth factors I and II and circulates in plasma in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated forms. Binding prolongs the half-life of IGFs and modulates their interaction with cell surface receptors.
