Target Information
The chaperonin containing TCP1 (CCT) complex, also called the TCP1 ring complex, consists of two back-to-back rings, each containing eight unique but homologous subunits. CCT assists the folding of newly translated polypeptide substrates through ATP-driven cycles of release and rebinding of partially folded intermediates. Known substrates include actin, tubulin, and alpha-transducin.
