CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain, IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes.
The IL2 receptor is a heterotrimeric complex composed of IL2RA, IL2RB, and IL2RG chains, forming the high-affinity IL2 receptor.
IL2 plays critical roles as a growth and differentiation factor, regulating immune responses and cell death.
Mutations in IL2RA are linked to interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency.
