Mcoln3 유전자의 결함은 varitin-waddler (Va) 표현형의 원인이 되며, 이 마우스는 조기 청력 손실, 전정 결함, 색소 이상 및 주산기 사망을 보입니다.
Va-J (varitin-waddler Jackson) 표현형은 유사하지만 덜 심각한 형태입니다.
TRPML3는 transient receptor family, polycystin subfamily에 속합니다.
