Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase and a CD45 glycoprotein. CD45 is crucial in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, serving as an important regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival by modulating integrin-mediated signal transduction pathways and is involved in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in their extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Their expression depends on cell type and physiological state. CD45RB is expressed in microglia and inflammatory cells.
In addition to immunoreceptor signaling, CD45 is important in promoting cell survival and is expressed on cells of the human hematopoietic lineage except mature red cells.
