Target Information
IGF1 (Insulin-like growth factor-1)은 인슐린과 구조적, 기능적으로 유사하지만 훨씬 강력한 성장 촉진 활성을 지닌 단백질입니다. 세포 증식, 분화, 이동, 생존 등 다양한 세포 반응을 유도하며, 근육, 뼈, 연골 조직의 세포 증식을 촉진합니다.
또한 IGF1은 포유류에서 포도당 수송을 자극하고, 인슐린보다 낮은 농도에서도 글리코겐 및 DNA 합성, 포도당 흡수 촉진에 효과적입니다.
혈중에서는 IGFBP(IGF-binding proteins)과 결합하여 반감기를 연장하고 표적 조직으로의 전달을 조절합니다.
IGF-I는 AKT 신호 경로의 강력한 활성화 인자로, 세포 증식 촉진 및 세포사 억제에 관여합니다.
성숙한 human IGF-I는 소 및 돼지 단백질과 100% 상동성을 가지며, 낮은 IGF1 수치는 알츠하이머병과 연관되어 있습니다.
IGF1 유전자의 결함은 IGF1 결핍증을 유발할 수 있으며, 다양한 전사 변이체가 존재합니다.
