Human thyroglobulin (hTg)은 갑상선 여포 세포에서 발견되는 고분자량 당단백질(605 kDa)로, 갑상선 호르몬 T4 및 T3의 흡수, 합성 및 조절된 생합성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
항-thyroglobulin 자가항체는 Hashimoto thyroiditis 및 Graves disease를 포함한 모든 갑상선 자가면역 질환에서 발견되며, Hashimoto thyroiditis에서 가장 높은 수준을 보입니다. 또한 갑상선암의 특성 지표로 사용되며, 암 환자 추적 연구에 활용될 수 있습니다.
