Product Specific Information
- MA1-773 contains 100 µg of in vitro produced, protein A purified antibody (1 mg/mL) in PBS containing 1 mg/mL BSA and 0.05% sodium azide.
- Detects TIMP-1 from human samples.
- Successfully used in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
- In Western blot, detects a ~30 kDa band representing TIMP-1 from K562 cell lysate.
- Recommended blocking reagent: 3% BSA.
- Immunogen sequence (F(72)–R(82)) is 100% conserved in some non-human primate TIMP-1.
Target Information
TIMP1 (metalloproteinase inhibitor 1) is a metalloproteinase inhibitor that forms one-to-one complexes with target metalloproteinases (e.g., collagenases), irreversibly inactivating them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor.
Acts on MMP1, MMP2, MMP3, MMP7, MMP8, MMP9, MMP10, MMP11, MMP12, MMP14, and MMP16.
Functions as a growth factor regulating cell differentiation, migration, and apoptosis.
Activates signaling via CD63 and ITGB1.
