This antibody is predicted to react with bovine and rat based on sequence homology.

Target Information

The Nuclear receptor related 1 protein (Nurr1), also known as NR4A2 (nuclear receptor subfamily 4, group A, member 2), is encoded by the NR4A2 gene in humans. NURR1 is a member of the nuclear receptor family of intracellular transcription factors and plays a key role in maintaining the dopaminergic system of the brain.
Mutations in this gene are associated with dopaminergic dysfunction-related disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, and manic depression. Misregulation may also be linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
Four transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified, with additional alternate splice variants potentially existing.
