Target Information
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have diverse functions, including transcriptional activation and repression. Most zinc-finger proteins possess a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which interacts with KAP1 to recruit histone-modifying proteins.
ZNF460 (zinc finger protein 460), also known as HZF8 or ZNF272, is a 562 amino acid nuclear protein expressed at low levels ubiquitously and at higher levels in pancreas and liver. It belongs to the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and contains 11 C2H2-type zinc fingers and a KRAB domain. Like other zinc-finger proteins, ZNF460 is suggested to play a role in transcriptional regulation.
