Target Information
Importin-alpha/beta 복합체와 GTPase Ran은 고전적 핵 내 위치 신호(classical nuclear localization signal)를 가진 단백질의 핵 내 수입을 매개합니다. 이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 Ran-binding 부위와 관련된 서열 모티프를 공유하는 약 20종의 잠재적 Ran 표적 단백질 중 하나입니다. Importin-beta와 유사하게, 이 단백질은 RanGAP1에 의한 Ran GTPase의 활성화를 억제하고, RanGTP의 뉴클레오타이드 교환을 방해합니다. 또한 핵공 복합체(nuclear pore complex)에 직접 결합하여 importin-beta 및 transportin과 결합 부위를 경쟁합니다. 이 단백질은 Ran 의존적 수송 주기를 가지며, 핵막을 빠르게 양방향으로 통과할 수 있습니다. Importin beta, transportin, RanBP5, RanBP7 등 최소 네 가지 importin beta 유사 수송 수용체가 리보솜 단백질을 직접 결합 및 수입합니다.
