Target Information
TCF4 (Transcription Factor 4) is a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor recognizing the Ephrussi-box (E-box) binding site (CANNTG), originally identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. This gene is predominantly expressed in pre-B cells but also found in other tissues. Mutations in TCF4 are associated with Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
