Target Information
Interleukin-32 (IL-32)는 원래 림프구와 NK 세포에서 선택적으로 발현되는 전사체(NK4)로 확인되었으며, IL-2 자극 후 발현이 증가합니다. 이후 IL-18 처리된 폐암 세포주에서 재분리되어 IL-32로 명명되었습니다.
IL-32는 알려진 사이토카인 계열과 서열 상동성이 없으며, 면역 조직에서 높게 발현되고 최소 4가지 스플라이싱 아이소폼으로 존재합니다.
IL-32는 인간 단핵구 및 마우스 대식세포에서 TNF-α, IL-8, MIP-2 등의 염증성 사이토카인을 유도하며, 인간 말초 림프구 및 상피세포에서 각각 mitogen 및 IFN-γ 자극에 의해 유도됩니다.
따라서 IL-32는 류머티즘 관절염과 같은 자가면역 및 염증성 질환에서 역할을 할 가능성이 제시되고 있습니다.
