Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Siglec-9 is observed.
- Approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Siglec-E, rhSiglec-6, and rhSiglec-8 is observed.
- Reconstitution: Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Siglec-7 is a putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic acid–dependent binding to cells, preferentially recognizing α2,3- and α2,6-linked sialic acids. It also binds disialogangliosides such as disialogalactosyl globoside and disialyl lactotetraosylceramide.
The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface.
In immune response, Siglec-7 may act as an inhibitory receptor, recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatases via SH2 domains to block signal transduction and inhibit NK cell cytotoxicity.
It may also play a role in hematopoiesis, inhibiting differentiation of CD34⁺ precursors toward the myelomonocytic lineage and proliferation of leukemic myeloid cells in vitro.
