EDD (E3 identified by Differential Display)는 인간 유방암 세포주 T-47D에서 분리된 프로게스틴 조절 유전자입니다.
EDD는 Drosophila hyperplastic discs (hyd) 유전자의 인간 상동체로 알려져 있으며, imaginal disc 성장 조절에 필요한 종양 억제 유전자로 작용합니다.
EDD는 카복시 말단에 HECT 도메인을 포함하며, 이 도메인을 가진 단백질은 ubiquitin-protein ligase(E3 효소)로 기능합니다.
EDD는 ubiquitin과 결합하며, 다른 HECT 계열 단백질과 마찬가지로 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase로서 기능할 수 있습니다.
