MA5-17537 targets NK cells/NKR-P1 in FACS and IHC(F) applications and shows reactivity with Rat samples.
The MA5-17537 immunogen is a 60 kDa disulfide linked homodimer NKR-P1.

Target Information

KLRB1 (Killer cell lectin like receptor subfamily B, member 1, CD161) is a type II membrane protein with an external C terminus.
It is expressed by nearly all NK cells and a subset of CD3+ T cells. KLRB1 forms a homodimeric cell surface protein (40–44 kDa) and plays an inhibitory role on NK cells.
Activation of KLRB1 induces acid sphingomyelnase/SMPD1 stimulation, increases intracellular ceramide, and activates AKT1/PKB and RPS6KA1/RSK1 kinases, enhancing T cell proliferation by anti-CD3.
KLRB1 acts as a lectin binding to Gal-alpha(1,3)Gal and N-acetyllactosamine epitopes, and also binds CLEC2D/LLT1 ligand, inhibiting NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma secretion.
It contains extracellular C-type lectin motifs, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain.
