PSD-95/DLG/ZO-1 (PDZ) 도메인 함유 단백질은 시냅스 막 단백질의 위치 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. PICK1 단백질은 PDZ 도메인, coiled-coil, acidic domain을 포함한 시냅스 단백질로, protein kinase C alpha (PKCα), AMPA형 글루타메이트 수용체 및 기타 막 수용체와 상호작용합니다. PICK1은 활성화된 PKCα를 GluR2로 유도하고, GluR2의 인산화 후 시냅스 막에서의 이동을 조절하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
